Baseball Recap: McKinley Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for McKinley's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoover Vikings on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley will square off against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hoover, they will take on Hudson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
