Volleyball Recap: The Academy Wins Going Away Against Greeley West + How To Watch

The Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Greeley West Spartans on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Ava Gallegos paced The Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gallegos got some help from Olivia Luxner and her 21 assists. CJ Luxner controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Greeley West, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DSST: Montview at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Greeley West, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Regis Groff on the 30th.
