Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Medford Tech). They were the clear victors by an 18-12 margin over the Pemberton Hornets on Friday. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jacob Inman was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Medford Tech's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Michael Simmons was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Medford Tech's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Pemberton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medford Tech will head out to face off against Palmyra at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Pemberton, they will venture away from home to challenge Pennsauken Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
