Football Recap: New Bedford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Saturday just wasn't the day for New Bedford's offense. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Lowell Red Raiders on Saturday.

New Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lowell, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

New Bedford and Lowell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Whalers (ranked 145th) will meet Weymouth (ranked 46th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lowell will face off against Tewksbury Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (89 vs. 28).
