Baseball Recap: South Shore Cardinals vs. Washburn Castle Guards

South Shore had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-9 to make it four. They lost 23-10 to the Washburn Castle Guards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Castle Guards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 on Tuesday.

Nathaniel Spuhler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Kaden Bryant was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Washburn, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2. Considering they have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
