Basketball Recap: Cotopaxi Snags 11th Win in Last 13 Games

There's no place like home for Cotopaxi, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 46-38 victory over the Flagler Panthers on Saturday.

Cotopaxi was led to victory by Kenny Teter and Joel Tezak. Teter posted 13 points along with seven boards and seven blocks, while Tezak went 8-for-16 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. Teter has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Justin Howell, who earned five points and four steals.

Cotopaxi is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. Flagler is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Looking ahead, Cotopaxi will square off against De Beque at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. De Beque is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. Flagler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
