Basketball Recap: Woodinville Comes Up Short

Woodinville suffered their closest loss since January 7th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North Creek Jaguars by a score of 59-57. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-46 back in January.

North Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cris Bonicillo, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 29 points. Bonicillo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Paolo Bonicillo, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Woodinville has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for North Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

Woodinville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-51 defeat against Redmond on the 13th. As for North Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-52 loss against Mount Si on the 14th.
