            Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Eagles vs. Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks        
        
		
        
        
            Calvary Christian Academy managed to slip by Archbishop McCarthy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Calvary Christian Academy Eagles lost  11-3 to the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
Calvary Christian Academy got a good showing from  Nicholas Goodwin, who   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  Chase Hamlett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.  Braden Rosenthal also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  doubles of the season.
Calvary Christian Academy is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3-3. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they moved to 2-5 with that  victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
 Looking ahead, Calvary Christian Academy will welcome Royal Palm Beach  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Royal Palm Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they will venture away from home to  face off against North Broward Prep  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
