Sandia won the last time they faced Santa Fe and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Matadors were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Demons. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Liliana Villanueva was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Villanueva was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
