Hickory and Grove City are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Hickory Hornets will take on the Grove City Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meanwhile, Grove City posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 83-55 victory over Mercer. The score was close at the half, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half with 53 points.

The win made it two in a row for Grove City and bumps their season record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Hickory, their record now sits at 14-5.

Everything came up roses for Hickory against Grove City when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 71-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hickory since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
