East Central won the last time they faced Greensburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Pirates.

Rose Yunger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, East Central's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emily Klem, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

East Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Greensburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-3 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Central beat the Pirates by a score of 12-0 later that day.
