Baseball Recap: Knoxville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Abingdon/Avon on Saturday, Knoxville came back down to earth. The Blue Bullets fell just short of the Tornadoes by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Abingdon/Avon, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knoxville will square off against Princeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abingdon/Avon, they will face off against Annawan-Wethersfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight.
