Basketball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 62-41 to the Vista del Lago Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Delta Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1017th, while the Eagles are ranked 318th).

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Vista del Lago, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stagg will head out to square off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stagg is facing Franklin at the right time seeing as Franklin is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Vista del Lago, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ponderosa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista del Lago will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Ponderosa will have lost six straight heading into Tuesday's match.
