Basketball Recap: University Trojans vs. Laguna Hills Hawks
The University Trojans had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Laguna Hills on Friday and snuck past 89-86. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shervin Moarrefian, who scored 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moarrefian has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of McKay Nelson, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.
University's win bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Laguna Hills, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.
University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laguna Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
