Volleyball Recap: Bear Creek Takes a Loss

Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Bear Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-16.

Lachlan Hotchkiss paced Bear Creek's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hotchkiss got some help from Dylan Imus and his 35 assists. Aiden Nguyen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Mountain Vista, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.

Bear Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Vista, they will challenge Legend at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
