Softball Recap: Breck Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Breck had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Blake on Thursday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won three contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Breck's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Blake, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Breck and Blake will both be playing Minnehaha Academy the next time they take the field. The Bears will host the Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
