Volleyball Recap: Fortuna Takes a Loss

Fortuna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the St. Bernard's Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Saturday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: St. Bernard's scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22.

Fortuna's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Bernard's, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Fortuna will face off against Del Norte on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, St. Bernard's and Ferndale will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd. This will be the Crusaders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
