Basketball Game Preview: Lone Star Rangers vs. Forney Jackrabbits

The Lone Star Rangers and the Forney Jackrabbits will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lone Star is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against North Garland on Thursday as Lone Star made off with a 90-65 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Rangers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Forney posted their biggest win since November 12th on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over McKinney Boyd.

Lone Star is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Forney, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Everything came up roses for Lone Star against Forney in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 78-33 win. In that matchup, Lone Star amassed a halftime lead of 51-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
