Baseball Recap: Erath Find Success

Erath had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Loreauville on Thursday. The Erath Bobcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Loreauville Tigers a 10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Not much got past Braxton Richard, who gave up just two hits to keep Loreauville off the board. What's more, Richard also racked up five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Erath got a big performance out of Landon Lemaire, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Lemaire has posted since back in March of 2024. Dominic Frederick was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Erath's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Loreauville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Coming up, Erath will be playing at home against South Terrebonne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Loreauville, they will take on Assumption at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
