Softball Recap: Paramus Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Paramus lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Saddle Brook, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Spartans blew past the Falcons 11-1 on Saturday. Considering the Spartans have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Paramus' third in a row) raised their record to 7-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Saddle Brook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Saddle Brook will head out on the road to challenge Boonton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.81 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. Paramus will be paying especially close attention to Saddle Brook's game: after Saddle Brook faces off against Boonton, they'll take on Paramus again at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
