Volleyball Recap: Classical Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Barrington + How To Watch

Classical faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Purple lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-14.

Barrington was led to victory by Anna Muehlbauer and Melissa Freshman. Muehlbauer had 12 assists and three aces, while Freshman had four digs and three assists. Muehlbauer has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Classical's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Barrington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Classical is taking a road trip to face off against Chariho at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barrington, they will welcome Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
