Baseball Recap: Greenfield-Central Triumphs

The matchup between Greenfield-Central and Wapahani on Monday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Cougars came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 12-9.

Greenfield-Central got a massive performance out of Cooper Safford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Safford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Greenfield-Central back to even at 1-1.

Greenfield-Central has already played their next match, a 5-3 win against New Castle on the 8th. As for Wapahani, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Wes-Del on the 10th.
