Baseball Recap: Lakota West's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Lakota West suffered their closest loss since April 12th on Friday. They fell just short of the Lakota East Thunderhawks by a score of 3-1. The Firebirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderhawks earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

With the defeat, Lakota West broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6. As for Lakota East, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Lakota West will take on Badin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakota East, they will challenge Pickerington Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Thunderhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
