Volleyball Recap: Westerville South Wildcats vs. Big Walnut Golden Eagles
The Westerville South Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Big Walnut Golden Eagles on Tuesday and fell 3-2.
Westerville South took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 14-25, 25-23, 16-14.
Their offense was headlined by Leo Harden and Riley Payne, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from David Mowery and his 43 assists. Finally, Harden was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
Among those leading the charge was Tyler Young, who had 14 digs. Cameron Parry was another key player, getting ten digs and one assist.
