Akron posted their closest victory since May 10, 2024 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Royalton-Hartland Rams 5-4. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Vince Consiglio was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Hunter Haist was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

The victory got Akron back to even at 4-4. As for Royalton-Hartland, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Akron by a score of 8-7 on Monday.
