Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Harrison on Friday, Indian Creek came back down to earth. The Indian Creek Braves had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of the Gibson Southern Titans. The matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gibson Southern's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brodey Lamb, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Connor Marvel was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 14 points.

Indian Creek moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Gibson Southern, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Indian Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brown County at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Gibson Southern, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-35 win against South Knox on the 27th.
