Schaumburg and Palatine are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2022, but not for long. The Saxons will head out on the road to take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Schaumburg has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Palatine will come in with five straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Schaumburg didn't have quite enough to beat Wheeling and fell 2-1.

Schaumburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Larisa Baldwin put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 16 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Palatine was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Zurich on Monday, taking the game 2-0.

Palatine not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lake Zurich to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Schaumburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Palatine, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
