Basketball Recap: Central Cabarrus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 71-58 to the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Ragin' Bulls are ranked 87th).

Central Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hickory Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Central Cabarrus won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cannon at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' defense better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 63.1 points per game this season. As for Hickory Ridge, they and Concord will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
