McAllen Memorial have no trouble against Rio Grande City

There's no place like home for The McAllen Memorial Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 24-6 win over Rio Grande City on Thursday. The victory was just what McAllen Memorial needed coming off of a 27-7 defeat in their prior contest.

Jp Garza was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. McAllen Memorial also got a significant boost from Jayden Soliz, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.

McAllen Memorial's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.67 points. As for Rio Grande City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

McAllen Memorial will head out on the road to face off against McAllen at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Rio Grande City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
