Baseball Recap: West Oso Gets the Win

West Oso lost to George West back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Bears came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 6-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Julian Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. He has become a key player for West Oso: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 7-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaime Guerrero, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of West Oso's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

West Oso's record now sits at 10-8. As for George West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-16-2 record this season.
