Flag Football Recap: Hill Takes a Loss

Hill lost against Branham back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Falcons were outmatched by the Bruins and fell 43-12. The Falcons were down 36-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Hill still got an impressive performance from Quetzali Alvarez, who picked up 77 receiving yards and two scores.

Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jewell Rivera and Yesenia Fonseca.

Hill's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Branham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hill will face off against rival Piedmont Hills at 7:15 p.m. on the 13th. Meanwhile, Branham is set to challenge their familiar foe Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bruins 8.7, the Rams 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
