Volleyball Recap: Avon Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Avon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Harding Raiders on Monday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Avon was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-9, 25-6.

Avon can attribute much of their success to Madison Demmerle, who had five digs and two aces. Kara Hricovec also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Avon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Avon's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. As for Harding, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
