Lisiate Valeti Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Wednesday, Springville had to settle for second even though Lisiate Valeti put up the best numbers he has all season. Valeti rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for Springville: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Springville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. Valeti and Springville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Highland at 6:00 p.m.

Ayden Laws Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Wednesday, Cedar Valley got the W thanks in part to Ayden Laws playing the best football he has all season. Laws rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.

The victory snapped Cedar Valley's losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. Laws and Cedar Valley will venture away from home to square off against Woods Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aisa Galea'I put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in November of 2023 on Wednesday. He rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making 12 total tackles.

Iongi Came Up Big in Orem's 35-21 Defeat

Orem had to settle for second on Wednesday, but Feleti Iongi sure wasn't going down easily. Iongi was unstoppable, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Orem's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. Iongi and Orem will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West at 6:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Carson Rasmussen Makes It Two for Timpview

Another Timpview player making an appearance on this list is Carson Rasmussen. He threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
