Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves vs. Western Alamance Warriors

Cedar Ridge is 0-8 against Western Alamance since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves will get right back to it and host the Western Alamance Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Cedar Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Western Alamance will be coming in after a defeat.

Cedar Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-35 win over Eastern Alamance. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Fighting Red Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Eagles are ranked 177th).

Meanwhile, Western Alamance came up short against T.W. Andrews on Wednesday and fell 60-52.

Western Alamance's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Cedar Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Cedar Ridge was dealt a bruising 64-11 defeat at the hands of Western Alamance in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Western Alamance's Allie Sykes, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 23 points and three steals.
