Recap: Anderson Cubs vs. Lassen Grizzlies
After soaring to 38 points the game before, The Anderson Cubs were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were outmatched by Lassen on the road and fell 39-8. Anderson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.
Michael Manley threw for 67 yards on ten of 16 attempts. Gavin Lockhart was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.
Lassen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dathen Moore, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Deshon Moore, who gained 182 total yards and two touchdowns.
Anderson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Lassen, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lassen will head out on the road to face off against Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pierce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
