Basketball Recap: Carbon Hill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakman last Friday, Carbon Hill came back down to earth. The Carbon Hill Bulldogs came up short against the Jasper Vikings on Monday, falling 54-30. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Vikings are ranked 90th).

Carbon Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Jasper, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.

Carbon Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Dora at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Dora will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Carbon Hill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jasper, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cullman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jasper is facing Cullman at the right time seeing as Cullman is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
