Midland Legacy takes down Trinity in a playoff battle

Recap: Midland Legacy Rebels vs. Trinity Trojans
With a playoff game on the line, the Midland Legacy Rebels rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over the Trojans. The win was nothing new for Midland Legacy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Midland Legacy had a senior duo take command as Damien Johnson rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per carry and Madden Milloy rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Johnson's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcos Davila, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Midland Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Midland Legacy will head out on the road to face off against Allen at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Allen is ranked 21st, while Midland Legacy is ranked 31st). Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
