Baseball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Has No Trouble Against Northwestern

Schoolhouse Prep can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against the Northwestern Bulls as they made off with a 14-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Camilo Urena looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Schoolhouse Prep is 2-1 when Urena allows two or fewer hits, but 8-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Kaeno Hinkel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Schoolhouse Prep's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 8-9 when he doesn't). Calex Cosculluela was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
