Softball Recap: Bonny Eagle Takes a Loss

Bonny Eagle lost against Gorham back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Scots fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Scots have lost by just one run.

Madison McGlinn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Bonny Eagle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Gorham, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bonny Eagle is set to square off against their familiar foe Westbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gorham will face off against rival Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.1, the Eagles 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
