Volleyball Recap: Gray Collegiate Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Gray Collegiate Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gray Collegiate Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Brookland-Cayce between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Sadie Williamson paced Gray Collegiate Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Williamson were helped by Haylee Falco and Colby Branham, who contributed 13 assists each. Taylor Dukes and Kara Allwood kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Brookland-Cayce, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gray Collegiate Academy will venture away from home to take on Legion Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will head out to face off against Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
