Hunt is a perfect 10-0 against Southern Nash since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Firebirds at 6:30 p.m. The last three games Hunt has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Hunt needed a bit of extra time to put away Fike. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Demons 3-2.

Hunt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Doll, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Zach Taylor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Southern Nash's offense. They fell just short of Corinth Holders by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hunt's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Southern Nash, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hunt has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Southern Nash struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Hunt's way against Southern Nash in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hunt made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Firebirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
