Basketball Game Preview: Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets vs. Ansley/Litchfield Spartans

The Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Ansley/Litchfield Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Heartland Lutheran saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 38-29 to Axtell. The Red Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ansley/Litchfield ended up a good deal behind Sandhills/Thedford on Tuesday and lost 31-15. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Caydence Feldman was Ansley/Litchfield's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Feldman also led the team in assists with two. Kerry M Ryan held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Heartland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ansley/Litchfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Heartland Lutheran was taken down by Ansley/Litchfield 65-32 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Thankfully for Heartland Lutheran, Kaylee Rohde (who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
