Soccer Game Preview: Stevens Point vs. Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln + Official Tickets

The Stevens Point Panthers will square off against the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln is facing Stevens Point at the wrong time: Stevens Point suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Lightning by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Stevens Point couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Zachariah Zillman, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln managed to keep up with D.C. Everest until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Red Raiders lost 3-0 to the Evergreens. While losing is never fun, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while D.C. Everest are ranked 18th).

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-5. As for Stevens Point, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-5.
