South Adams extends home losing streak to five

Recap: South Adams Starfires vs. Lakewood Park Christian Panthers

The South Adams Starfires's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They fell just short of Lakewood Park Christian by a score of 37-34. South Adams has not had much luck with Lakewood Park Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

South Adams' loss came despite strong showings from Tytus Lehman and Owen Wanner. Lehman scored 16 points, while Wanner scored 14 points.

Leading Lakewood Park Christian to victory were Avery MacFarlane and Mason Jolloff. MacFarlane dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, while Jolloff scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. MacFarlane hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games.

South Adams bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season.

South Adams will head out on the road to square off against Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jay County has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 254 points over their last four games.
