Preview: Stryker Panthers vs. Montpelier Locomotives
Stryker is 8-2 against Montpelier since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at 4:15 p.m. at. Stryker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 501st, while Montpelier is ranked 180th).
Last Monday, Stryker didn't have too much trouble with Hicksville at home as they won 39-22. The victory was just what Stryker needed coming off of a 35-15 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Montpelier waltzed into their game last Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over Paulding.
The win got Stryker back to even at 3-3. As for Montpelier, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Stryker didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Montpelier when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win. Does Stryker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Montpelier turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
