Flag Football Game Preview: Jacobs Golden Eagles vs. Crystal Lake Central Tigers

The Jacobs Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Crystal Lake Central Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jacobs hasn't scored more than 13 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Jacobs is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since August 26th on Tuesday. They came up short against Huntley, falling 25-0. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Crystal Lake Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 15-6 victory over the Trojans.

Crystal Lake Central's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Jacobs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
