Baseball Game Preview: Palacios Sharks vs. Tidehaven Tigers

For the second straight game, Palacios will face off against Tidehaven. The Sharks will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palacios is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Palacios didn't have quite enough to beat Tidehaven and fell 4-3.

For Tidehaven's part, RITCHIE ZGARCIA spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. ZGARCIA has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, ASHTON KLAIBER was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. TRAVIS RIENDEAU was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tidehaven kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tidehaven is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season. As for Palacios, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
