Basketball Game Preview: Eisenhower Cadets vs. Sunnyside Grizzlies

Eisenhower is 0-10 against Sunnyside since January of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. Both will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Sunnyside took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eisenhower, who comes in off a win.

Eisenhower played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They managed a 71-65 win over Wenatchee. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Panthers are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-40 loss at the hands of West Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Grizzlies have suffered against the Rams since January 24, 2020.

Eisenhower's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Sunnyside, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
