Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Wallace Miners

Lakeside is 9-1 against Wallace since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lakeside Knights' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wallace Miners at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Lakeside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 games -- so hopefully Wallace likes a good challenge.

Lakeside can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 80-53 victory over Clark Fork. Given Lakeside's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Clark Fork is ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Tyson Charley, who scored 27 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brutis Sijohn, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists.

Meanwhile, Wallace suffered a rough 74-50 defeat at the hands of Kellogg on Friday.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Wallace, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Everything came up roses for Lakeside against Wallace in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the team secured a 81-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
