Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon lost against Highland back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Mt. Vernon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Highland, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon will face off against Carterville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highland, they will take on Civic Memorial at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
